I just got my JK 2 1/2 months ago and haven't had any hood issues. Does the hood shuttering happen after time or was it immediate? I have been up to 75-80 mph and haven't had anything that I noticed.

Mine only happens when passing big trucks at 70+ mph. But when it does happen, it's noticeable!

I was visiting with Interceptor_1972 the other day and he surprised me when he said he's had a small amount of hood dancing--only very rarely--with the Daystar latches. I never have hood dancing anymore, and it cost me all of a buck or so to fix it ...

I tried the zip tie mod and it worked well for 3-4 months, however I ended up replacing the zip ties a few times b/c they would break b/c they would get brittle from the cold eastern winter. Sometimes when I just popped the hood, a couple times at highway speed passing a truck or whatever.
Good timing on the post though b/c I installed the hood wranglers from daystar today also! It was warm enough to install and stretch them enough to close the hood. They are TIGHT! Definitely will eliminate the flutter, as they are much tighter than the zip tie mod.

Im sure the hood latches are a great fix for this problem but if you dont feel like dropping the coin on this then you can just remove the hood spring. It really works.
