Default This dang lift!

I purchased a 2.5 rough country lift. The with new shocks and coil spacers and brake extensions and new sway links. Well I hate it. I want want to had rubicon 3.5 coils from amazon. Their cheep and taller. Now I do not rock climb. Mainly mud and two tracks.
Can someone give me advice? Should I not do this should?

Default RC

I had a rough country lift for my first TJ.

Install was awful, their support was awful, it never sat level or rode right.

I've never gone back.

Why did you hate it? Perhaps you could elaborate. What size tires are you running? Taller is not better

Very true! I do not really wanna go taller, I just cannot find coils that are 2,5 for cheap.
I do not like the spacers. Their metal it rides rough. It's my own fault I mean rough is in their name haha. But I have 33s and I wanna upgrade to 35s soon. However I do want flat fenders too...

Check out TeraFlex, Rock Krawler, Synergy and Rubicon Express. I have TF and RE on my jeeps and the ride good. I have riden in othe Jeeps with RK and Synergy and really liked them also. Sometimes you can buy some high end shocks and you ride will improve. also if you tires are over inflated you ride quality will suffer. I run lawer pressure to let my tires absorbe some shock/bumps. I fill them up more on long raod trips.

Could be the shocks? You could always pick up some shock extensions and put your stock shocks back on and see how it feels. A coil spacer lift in itself really shouldn't change the ride all that much. I know mine didn't

I see. I guess my real question is if I put the coils in what else would I need to buy besides the coils?

How much did you deflate them? I guess my real question is if I put the coils in what else would I need to buy besides the coils

What tire are you running and what size wheel/ tire? You could just swap in coils, but adjustable track bar or rear track bar bracket wouldn't hurt.

The other guys are correct about the ride shouldn't changed to much.
Before when your suspension traveled it would probably go through its spring rate and bottom on bumpstops.
If I remember correctly Rough Country uses their shock bumpstops for bottoming out upon full compression.
With the added coil spacers and stock springs it preloads them and they might feel bouncy at full compression now before it allows the shock bumpstops to hit.
If you put in different shocks you'll have to add some bumpstops.
