Yea, I agree, you paying about 5k over what it woulda been for an F350 D60 and GM 14 bolt conversion, not to mention the 8 lug strength. I paid about $12k for my 05 f350 D60 and 06 GM 14bolt with Hydro, lockers, truss, custom steering, wheels, tires.

I dont mean to sound rude but I think you made a mistake by going semi float as it is a marginal improvement at best. If you are shelling out that kind of cash, a full float is definitely the way to go. I have an supercharged 3.8 in mine and 5.13s were definitely the way to go with 37s up here at altitude. I dont think the 4.88s are going to give you enough umph until you do your engine swap. Lastly, I dont know what county you live in so it may not matter, but I am almost positive a diesel swap wont pass emissions if you are in Denver.

Yes that is what I found out. Hence the 5 on 5.5. Wish that was in the details. And the G2 don't have a locking hub option. But I was planning on changing rims and tires anyhow now it will be just a little sooner then planned.

Should be nice. Dont feel like you overpaid. Sure, I spent like $9000 for a 60/14 bolt and coilovers, but I also spent 6 months in the garage and it doesnt drive on the street anymore. It's just money, you cant take it with you when you die.
Personally though I would have gone with 5.38. Not a huge issue, some of us just like really low gears.
