Default Damn!

So I installed my RK adjustable LCA'S and the next day my front driveshaft started rattling, took it to the shop and they said its fairly common and I should look into getting a HD front driveshaft. Can anyone chime in some input and opinions?

How long did you adjust your LCA's to? If you are not running adj uppers as well, you may have adj the lowers too long creating too much positive caster.

Yeah that's what I thought but the shop checked and said the caster was good, from my opinion and I don't know much but I think when I put on the LCA'S it was just the icing on the cake for the front driveshaft to fail.

X2

How much lift did the coils give you ? Stock shaft shouldn't fail unless the pinion and was sever enough (high caster)

It was TF 2.5 in, it looked off but the shop said it was good, I don't know if I got swindled or what but, now I'm just ready to get a new one and have the shop install so if the caster is off and this messes up its on them to fix it

Arms are adjusted wrong regardless of what the shop is saying. That's why the shaft failed

Ok I can fix that, but that was the confusing part cause I read nowhere on how much they should be adjusted. Can anyone tell me how much they adjusted theirs?

Rock Krawler suggests 23 1/8" eye to eye on the front lca's for 2.5" of lift. This is for their own complete kits, but it should be close.

Then to fine tune grab an angle finder put it on your lower "C" and see where you're at

^ even better the front on each side of the differential. There's 2 flat machined spots.
This will give you the pinion angle. Knowing there's 6 degrees separation, you will know your caster.

Ex: stock is 2 degrees positive. Caster at this is 4 degrees.
