Hey guys, I have a 2011 JKU Rubicon (COD) 6 speed. It's my DD that spends most of the time on pavement, and about 10% offroad on easy trails. I was thinking of getting a Teraflex leveling kit with the possibility of getting 33" tires later. I've also come across the Rough Country 2.5" BB. I know everyone's thoughts on the Teraflex, but what about the RC? Anyone have any experience with the kit? It shows $139 for the spacers and shock adapters, but no longer swaybars?? Anyone with any experience with the RC lift and could tell me a bit, I'd appreciate it. It seems fairly cheap and it makes me wonder what its missing. Thanks

A spacer is pretty much a spacer, these kits are all about the added components. To make a 'fair' comparison, just add the cost of the longer rear links, or any other component that is different, to the RC kit.
(and yes, you do want the swaybars to be level - not angled down)

I used to have a RC 2.5" BB. It will work fine. My RC shocks failed quickly; recommend a better brand (though they will replace them). You should extend rear brake lines, but a buck or two at a hardware store can solve that. Also you should buy front swaybar quick disconnects if you off-road.

The Teraflex leveling kit and 33's are exactly what I run and they're very good for DD work. Worked out well on the trails too!

My DD is rolling on a Teraflex leveling kit & 33's as well. I think it's a great setup for a DD.

I was always told to stay away from rough country. No experience with them on the jeep but my buddy has a 6 inch rough country lift on his f-150 and I was not really impressed. You get what you pay for.

I was that guy too - bb lift until modded bumpers etc and then went up to ome lt hd lift. Didnt regret the bb though - cheap and easy to install so was good step for me.

Do it right once.

I'd go with a TF 2.5" coil. All the clearance/capability you'll want, has great on-road ride quality/manner, and no need to upgrade your lift again should you decide to put new bumpers/accessories with added weight on it. Plus, since you have a rubi, you can run TFs shock adapters and use your stock shocks.

Ran that setup for 24K mi, drove across the country and off-roaded it hard. It was a great lift, only got rid of it to go higher and at times I wish I would have kept my 2.5" kit.

Daily driver here, and opted for the 2.5" Teraflex coil lift because I saw how many people end up swapping their spacer lifts and levelling kits anyway.

It's great even with 32" Duratracs and stock rims.
