Daily Driver, 2014 Rubi, 4.10gears, AEV 2.5 Lift, 35's... Do I Need to Regear???
I have a JKURX on order... Scheduled to be shipped to AEV after production for 2.5 lift and other mods. Torn between 33 & 35 tire selection. Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Most likely going with BFG ALL Terrain Tires, 33 or 35 inch on Pintlers.

I had 35s and 3.73. I'd call that borderline. 4.10 would be great. With the 4:1 transfer case, you'll have plenty of low range offroad as well.
Plus, anything less than 35s on a lifted JKU, looks funny in my opinion. And the "35s" don't actually measure out that tall. They'll be slightly less. For the purpose of correcting my speedometer, I used a 33.75" tire setting.

If you ordered an automatic you will need to adjust your shift points. 4:10 gears will do fine but for optimal performance 4:88 would give more power but less gas mileage.

Most will say you will be fine with 4.10's and new motor, but I cant personally say because I don't have 35's. I would just get a procal (or something similar to address for auto shift points) and drive it for a bit and see how you like it. Then if it is not acceptable to you, it will be gear time.

There are some biases on the forum. Get the lift that fits your use case and ignore the bias. Not everyone needs 14" of travel. AEV makes a solid kit for its intended purpose. If you're planning to run the Rubicon Trail regularly, then maybe not the right kit. Short of rock crawling, the AEV stuff is solid (except I think the installation process of Bilstein shocks is total BS, haha).
If my intended use had been anything other than pushing my Jeeps limits, I'd easily go back to something like what AEV has to offer. It bolts on and it works. The more I spend, the more issues I have and the more I have to deal with.
Sounds like you are doing your homework and found what fits for you. Great to see the excitement as well. You'll be happy with the AEV kit. Rarely hear of an unhappy AEV owner.
