D60, rubie 44, dynatrac 44 or currie f9 info
I'm looking to replace my stock d30 with one of the above housings. I was going to beef up my d30 ( sleeves, gussets, chrome ally axels, covers, and new gears) which was going to cost $2000 till later but I'm having ball joint problems so I'm just going to swap it and save the $2000 I am looking for real world info from people that have these axels installed on there jku. I'm leaning to the currie f9. One question I have will my d30 outer knuckles, and unit bearing that I will need swap over to the f9? Also what all will I be looking at swapping along with the axel? As of now I'm running 35's but going to a 37's next time (next summer) I need a axel that will hold up to 37's no problems!!! I want a bolt in axel. Any reviews, comments, on these axels.

What's your budget? Pretty big price difference between some of the axles on your list. I'd take the rubi 44 off your list. Don't know anything about the f9. But the dynacrtac 44 and 60 are able to handle a 37. However if you ever did go bigger than 37s you'll be wishing you had a 60.

My budget is around $4500.00 if i do go with a d60 it will probably be out of a junk yard. I'll clean it up weld new coil buckets and control arm tabs. Then new gears and locker. The currie f9 has me real interested it's a custom fabbed Housing that takes a ford 9" center section which I already have so that would save me some money. Comes with axels and 1 ton tie rod if im not mistaken. Some of the KOH rigs are running these

i just ordered a PR44 for my front end. i read alot about each option and i couldn't find one negative to the PR 44 running 37's and RCV axels. so that's what i ordered. once installed i'll be able to give true opinion.

No haven't I check at the local off road shop Friday about beefing my d30 up Evo sleeves, "c" gussets, chrome ally axels and re-gearing I'm looking at $2000.00 Plus $600.00 for pro steer ball joints. And i still got a d30 ring gear and pinion. that's why I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a new axel

How soon are you wanting this axle? I ask because I have a PR 44 unlimited HD housing with RCV axle shafts, 4:56 gears, prosteer BJ's and the spyntec hub conversion kit on my rig now that I will be selling here about 2 months probably. I have a PR 60 coming for the rear and will also be ordering a front 60 sometime soon.

Love my PR44
I have the pr44 unlimited. Next to the stock rubi 44 it’s a monster. I haven’t taken it out and beaten on it yet but just from comparing it to the stock 44 I know it will take it. The tubes are half inch thick, that’s what was in a D60 for many years. The outer C’s are not much different than the 60 either. I’d have gone with the 60 myself except for two reasons. The 60 can only come with a width that is 4 inches wider than the 44. My state I live in has no lift issues but you cant have the tires out of the wheel wells and the 60 would have added two inches on each side. The other reason is with the pr44 my electric locker still works just fine. Yes I could have got a ARB but it’s a 2012 and I wanted the dash switch to still be workable. The main reason though was axle width and the fact the 60 is almost twice the price plus you cant use the same rims either.
