I think $600 is a bit high to ask for a stock Dana 30, unless you find someone in a bind. I did a full axle swap last year and it took about 6 months to finally sell mine, and I couldn't even get $500 for my fully loaded axles with 4.10 gears and a limited slip in the rear. Just my .02, GLWS!

Really depends on your area. I think $2-3k is way too high for a front D44. even sleeved and gusseted I think they are only worth $2k maybe. But people buy them at that price

I sold my front D30 for $700 after 2 days on Craigslist. I think they're easier to sell there as people are putting them on other vehicles. Mine was going under a ford ranger mud truck. Only extra mine had was sleeves. Sold the rear for $750 in about a week on the forum.

Obviously, experiences will vary.

Do we know how he offers these at such a low price? Is everything legit?

I know that he installs the parts. Not sure if he picks everything up separately or what.

I've installed two of the axles from him for local people. They're mopar axles, not Chinese knock-offs or anything.

The D44s used to sell for around $1200. When the JKU came out, they started selling a lot of Rubicons. Plus, people started bending and breaking axles. So, the surplus was drawn down and the price doubled. As I understand it, they have a lot of axles now and I'd guess they won't be on the new Jeep, so he probably has a source to get them at cost.

Regardless, they're legit and all OEM parts.

I think that is part of it too. He used to sell on eBay and I started posting about it last summer. I know at least 10 people who picked one up from him. I'm guessing he has plenty of people calling him these days.

You are right. He does enjoy doing it as a hobby and doesn't charge for labor. Sounded nuts to me but I heard it from him in person.
