Default D-Rings, stock bumper

Simple as the title says, has anyone run or running, D-Rings in the stock bumper? I went through a few search pages but didnt, really come up with much. Stupid idea?

The factory hooks are pretty good. I dont think I have heard of anyone doing this.

I saw someone on here did it but I would just keep the factory tow hooks, seems like too much work, cutting, smoothing for me.

I think it could be done, but why? The factory tow hooks are solid, and any homemade D ring hookup would look awful on that plastic bumper.
