Default Cutting stock fenders

I'm looking to cut my stock fenders. Anybody done it? Is it hard? Have any tips or pictures? Thanks

Easy to do, don't have any pictures of process tho. I kinda just went with it lol. I used a jigsaw and just cut away, then hit the edges with some sandpaper to get rid of the rough edge. My advise would be, you can always just make the first cut wider and then shape them how you want. Here's mine. Search around, there are plenty of step by step write ups and youtube videos.

Holy cow man! That crawler behind your Jeep is sick! Good job on the fenders too.

I've done it many times. Easy peasy! Just tape your lines and take your time! (Rhyme?). Then throw some door edge guard on the edges and all it a day. Of course sand them down first and use some degreaser or denatured alcohol on them before sticking or else they will come off quickly.

Yeah makes my jeep on 35's look like a stock yj lol. 43's will do that. I was gonna get a ride up a nice steep rocky hill climb but he broke his ring gears showing off lol. More skinny pedal than needed

You live in Texas where the summers are hot, so take your time with the initial cuts and use various grades of sandpaper to get your lines perfect. By doing this, you will not need to cover the finished edges with a self-aheasive door trim that will fall off when the hot sun hits it. I used an 18 dollar pneumatic jigsaw I bought at Harbor Freight, and yellow electrical tape to trace my lines (much more flexible than blue painters tape). If you don't rush, the end result will be a factory finished edge you can be proud of.Click image for larger version
