Is cutting pinch seam required on 2014+ JK?
Starting in 2014, jeep cut back the shark fin / pinch seam in front of the rear tires from the factory. Was the factory modification enough to run 37" tires without needing to further modify this? I'm trying to decide bergen 35" and 37" tires and want to know the full cost of entry into 37". I'm not a fan of cutting into my vehicles, so I'd love to hear that Jeep and the factory cut back is about equal to the home brewed modification.
I'm running a Prorock 44 HD (RCV/E-locker/Synergy), Ten factory rear shafts, Mopar 2" lift with 1.25"Body lift, limiting strap on front axle, Fox shocks, Rubi Rails and 2" bump stop extensions. I know that the Rubicon rails will need cut for the 37" tires. Is that about it, or am I missing some details?

Maybe I'm blind, but there is no pinch seam that I can see on the back side? There is the black wheel tub, does that need cut to expose this rear pinch seam?

Yea, the more I read about this, it is agreed that for the late 2013 and newer JK you do not cut anything but the rear end of the Rubi rails, the pinch seam(s) appear to now be taken care of at Jeep. The guy above is saying rear pinch still needs addressed, but I've yet to find a post talking about cutting a rear wheel/rear side of rear wheel pinch seam. I think I'll cut the Rubi Rail and go try and flex it about and see if I can make any contact. I also hope to be able to keep the factory flares and not cut or replace them. If I must, I would drop the cash for the Rugged Ridge Hurricane I think.

Ya I think you aren't seeing the rear pinch seam if you have your stock fender flares and wheel well liners on. For those of us running large tires, flat flares, and fully stuffing the tire, you can get into the rear pinch seam as well. Maybe not an issue in your case.

I ran 35's on my 2015 JK and they barely cleared the rubi rails but cleared the pinch seam with ease. Mine was angled off from the factory. You could also add rear adjustable upper and lower control arms to get you axle moved back 3/8" or so to clear 37's.
