Default Cutting down the rails and pinch seam

Hello, I am new to the JK Forum. Someone from MidSouthJeeps.com told me that there was a thread here that showed how and what I needed to cut to make my 35s stop rubbing (with Pics), but I cant seem to find it. Can someone post up the link for me? I am really new to the do it yourself Jeep mods, in fact I just bought my first angle grinder yesterday (just for this project). Any help and lessons learned would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I guess the sooner I start the sooner I am finished. I am going to go give this a try. Wish me luck. I will take pics.

I can't believe you're rubbing your pinch seam or rails on 35's. But a good search of the site should bring up alot of post showing this.

Rubbing the rail on drivers side. Pinch seam trimming was precautionary.

Finished the Drivers side, but not passenger side.

I will upload photos soon.

It's a pretty simple deal. They say the worst part is making that first cut
Take off the rock rails and take the plug out of the end, get a sawzaw and hack off as much as you want. Paint the bare metal then slap in the end cap. I would draw out a line on the pinch seem to where you want to cut, then use a grinder to grind it back, or use a sawzaw or a Dremel to cut back to your line. paint the bare metal and put it all back together.
