If you plan on removing the flares to cut them, go ahead and order a box of both types of clips. Not a bad idea to have them on hand anyway, just in case a flare gets ripped off by a tree or rock on the trail.

A20887 $8.92 box of 15
A11146 $2.97 box of 25

I cut mine at a fender trimming party a few years back. We used a sawzall, and the results were disastrous. I finally got around to fixing the mistakes last week, and they now look beautiful. The secret? Use a Dremel, and then finish off with a large hand sander + ~80 grit sandpaper (I used a 10" sander that is meant for drywall).

Take your time.

If you have an air compressor or use it as a reason to get one, this pneumatic body saw works great, a lot easier than a dremel.

Cut away. I used a cordless multi-purpose tool. Because of the small size it allows for straight lines and easy to curve around corners. Finish it off with the door trim molding and your done.

Thanks! It's a MetalCloak Gamer changer 3.5" lift with 35x12.5x17 GY MTRs. I also run 1.75" spacers with the stock wheels.
