Custom offset on Fuel Trophy wheels
Just ordered some Trophys that get here this weekend. My rim guy recommended a custom offset of -12 on the 17 x 8.5. Any benefits of having such an aggresive offset and will it be any better than the standard -6 that they mass produce? I have a 11 rubicon unlimited on stock tires at the moment. Planning on a 2.5" lift and 35's. THANKS

That's interesting. I didn't know you could do a custom offset. Are they charging you more for that?
If my math is correct, that would give you a 4.25" backspace vs the 4.5" of the -6 offset version. (they also have a +6, 5.0" BS version). I'm no expert, but I wouldn't have thought you would have had any issues with the 4.5" with a 2.5" lift and 35's. There are at least a couple guys on here running similar setups. I would be curious to see a 4.25" version, but wouldn't pay more for them.

Fuel does the custom offset free of charge, it's just how they do business (from what I understand from friends who have purchased custom offset wheels from Fuel)

Thanks everyone...instead of being 218 ea they are going to charge me 238 ea. Mmm, Maybe I should have stuck with the 4.5 -6. They come in on Thursday so will snap some pics for whoever is interested.
