ill let you know. Im gonna run i through its paces first. Going off road this weekend with the can on and empty see how it holds up then I'll fill it to 45lbs and test it again. It should be just fine however before I consider producing them I want to know it will hold up. Each pair of brackets will be custom made so I'm thinking parts and labor like $150 - $200 shipped

So I took the Jeeper to Dirty Turtle Off Road Park in Kentucky yesterday. Ran with the can on empty. Really put her through the works and she held up like a champ. I filled with gasoline today so gonna run it around full up for a few days. I will post updates here but so far Im pleased with the durability.

For those of you paying attention, day three of a full 45lb gas can on the mount and holding up strong...

so it's holding up fine. I am going to make the bottom bracket a little bit wider. It as some play that I don't like. Would it hold yes. Will it create fatigue on the welds? Probably more so that it needs.

Nice idea and well thought out. One thing about your quote on price. With the simple design, I think that 150-200 bucks is a little high. Realistically I would say that 50-75 is more in the ballpark. I know that you don't have a factory to manufacture them in which obviously would keep the price low. Fabricating by hand is tedious work and you'll never get rich doing it but 150-200 is just too much for the product. Regardless, you've really thought this design through and it is appealing to me. Good work.

You are welcome to take the photos and find a local fab shop to do it. I don't care about the money... frankly it would be cool to get someone else's input on the design and any tweaks... cuz I'm just wingin it and to see my desig on someone else's jeeper would be killer
