I might be offbase in trying to visualize what you want but I think the folks that make the "third row" seats also make side mounted ones for the 4-door. I wonder if those would work in place of the bench seat in a 2 door.

the pictures cycle through but I am thinking the little ones that mount sideways not the bench seat that mounts rear or forward.

Those are pretty neat. Sometimes I wish I had a 4 door.. then I realize that I wont ever be sitting back there.

i just had a neat idea... a seat that attaches to the tail gate that can fold down when its open ... got a good picture in my head, dont know if im saying it right. What do yall think? it would be easier to install and useful... i think.

wow.. that is a good idea.. good thinking. You could make the legs of the seat fold up so when you open the tail gate they dont get snagged on anything. Imagine the leg room you would have.
