I agree with those that say go full float but don't forget new wheels or adapters since you will be a different lug pattern. You also have the new dana 60 option but I personally like the Dynatrac but they are expensive.

Mark me down as another full float fan. If you're going to spend the money, do it right. I think you'll be happier with a full floater.

Im afraid to bend my housing. When I wheel I take all my tools with me and usually a few people so that adds probably another 1000 pounds plus the 1000 pounds of accessories I have on the car.

Throw a truss on, add some chromo shafts, and wheel the piss out of it.

Yup add a truss the on top of the chromos and rock out good advice here and alot less than a new axle...

2x fully weld the housing to the tubes and forget about those plug welds.

If you are running a 5.38's you may have trouble with the ring and pinion in in a D44. Eddie blew his R&P in a video using the stock D44.
