Default Cruise control.

I've got a 07' Sahara unlimited and I have stock gears with 35's and a 4' lift. I don't rock climb in it. Every once in awhile I put it in the mud and I have a hunting lease that I ride around. But mostly it's a mall crawler. I notice at 65mph or above it won't start on cruise as in it slows down then speeds back up. What's a remedy for this? I heard/read something about driving with overdrive off. And would a flashpaq or a procal help any? Thanks.

Re- gearing will fix that. I had 35's, 4 inch lift and 3:73's. I couldn't use cruise control because it was constantly downshifting out of overdrive to keep the speed up. I have 4:88's now and use cruise control all the time. No programmer can fix the lack of torque to the tires, only gears.

What's the typical cost for re-gearing? And no I haven't done anything to calibrate the speedometer for the tire size.

You could look the info up for re-gearing, as
it depends on what gears you want and into
what type of differential they are going into...

But I believe the gears,(rack&pinion) go for
about $200 each. For a matched set your
looking at $400 and change, if your doing
the swap yourself.
If Your going through a shop, it'll depend
on who you go to and how knowledgeable
they are at doing that type of work.

Try this site for calc what you need;
