Seems to me, if you ordered 4.5 bs you should get 4.5 bs. That would pretty much guarantee no problem.

well thats the thing,,looks like the 4.25 or 4.50 have the same angle,
or they are just welded more inside on the rim

I, apparently, do not understand the issue... So, disregard.

Well, that's pretty disturbing. I just got my Soft 8's w/ 5 on 5 and 5" BS. Decided on that after reading a few posts that indicated it was the correct size.

Haven't put them on yet, only because I'm saving for tires & lift. Don't like the idea of just a paper width between the brakes and wheel. Call me old school, but I'm also not a big fan of spacers.

Maybe 4.25" BS would be better (think 4.5" would be ideal, but haven't checked availability)? Would rather not have my tires sticking out past my fenders much, but it is only 3/4" more. I can return mine to Summit, but don't know the shipping terms yet... Hopefully won't cost too much, otherwise you'll soon be seeing mine in the "For Sale" section.

Looking forward to other's posts here.

I run the soft 8 16x8 with 5" backspacing and have for the past 3k miles. No issues at all, and i've wheeled the crap out of them. Don't worry about it, just put them on.

I also have been running the soft 8's 16x8 with 5" backspace and have no problems at all. About 4k on mine.

The backspacing isn't going to make a difference. It comes close to the callipers not the rotor. The wheel will not wobble and contact the calliper unless your lug nuts fall off.

pm me if anyone wants to sell their rims. I could use another set.

Well that's a relief! I'd still like a little more room around my calipers, but won't worry 'bout it for now. I would worry about my lug nuts falling off though! Incorrect backspacing would be the least of my problems!
