Its going to work out great for that and its easy to put on and take off so It will be a breeze when I want to go out for a quick spin. My Jeep is garaged so rain is not an issue.
they look like a nice cover but you bring up a good point. mine is garaged too but I wanted something to put on when the freedom panels are off or when the top is off just to keep out the prying eyes, dust, bugs, humidity when the dryer is running in the garage and a bird flying over and dropping his load. so I went really inexpensive and got a rampage cab cover for $34. I usually don't go cheap but it's been perfect, fits perfectly over the hardtop, extremely lightweight and easy handle and store. definitely not a long term outside protection or rain cover though.

I had the bestop trail cover on my TJ. Very well made but heavy fabric and harder to handle and store.

I ended up emailing covercraft, and here is my email and their response (it was a very quick response, probably 2-3 hours...)

My email:

Hello,

I am in the market for a cover for my Jeep Wrangler and have found 3 different covers made by you custom for my model. I am curious what the differences are:

Block-It 380
NOAH
WeatherShield

I don't have a garage, and often have my doors and top down on my Jeep. I need something I can throw on at night that will withstand the elements (rain, wind, possibly snow), something that can fit over the soft top and hard top if they are on, as well as something that can easily pack in to my trunk.

Which of these models best fits my needs?
Response:

Hi Timothy,

While we have superior covers and have been making them since 1965, our covers are not waterproof and if there is a heavy rain your jeep interior will get wet. Our covers are breathable, and we do not recommend water proof covers. We would love to sell you a cover but if you are looking for a cover that will keep the interior of your jeep dry in snow or downpour, I'm sorry our covers will not.
The weathershield is a light weight cover and repels water, easy to handle and easy to clean. It is a great cover and if you are not trying to keep the interior dry, it will be the one I would recommend. If you have other questions please let me know.
Very interesting. There covers are not waterproof, yet the marketing makes it sound like they are. I definitely won't be spending hundreds on something that won't even keep my interior dry...

it sounds like it's perfect for what some of you bought/want to buy it for, but for me it doesn't seem to make any sense. oh well, on to order something else...

I'm going to buy a $20 waterproof tarp to throw over my Jeep in the winter when it's going to sit for the 3 months I can't drive it doorless and topless. It's more of a dust cover because my Toy Jeep is garaged.
