Bestop has a soft top headliner that helps with the sound and also helps insulate. I have also seen someone go to a fabric store and purchase Thinsulate "fabric" and cut it to fit and sew on some velcro strips to fit the entire length of the soft top. It makes a huge difference.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

So he used the cut off pieces of a hard top as the support framework? I can probably find pieces of one laying around, or just make my own support system...it is starting to sound like a fair bit of work, for sure. When i can access my jeep again I'll have to see if its doable or not. I have a feeling I'll end up buying a fair bit of sheet metal before all is said and done .

e: I asked the people at quadratec whether or not the bestop headliner was compatible with the trektop, and they said "No."

I think you may be better off hunting around on some other regions of Craigslist and seeing if you can find one within a few hours driving distance. That or maybe see if you can find one on eBay that you can go and pickup.

Sounds like more trouble than it's worth...
