To address the original question in your first post,

You could simply spin your rear springs so that the end section of the spring (the final cuttoff of the spring) is rotated so that it is sitting forward (front of Jeep) in the 12 o'clock position. Do this with both sides so that they are aligned the same in the perch. Many time this will correct slight bowing or unevenness.

I've had springs that once spun to a more proper position gave an extra 0.5".

Interesting.

Might be worth a try.

Any seating/unseating issues with this? Problems with coils coming off perch easier at full extension?

On edit: Now that I think about it, the position should not matter at all since I have the coils seated on correction wedges and not in the "proper" place on the perch anyway.

I'll take a look at this and see what happens.

I'm not sure my message got across. It's kind of tough to explain without a diagram. The way they are positioned on the perch DOES make a difference in overall height and sometimes bowing. A spring is not a perfect cylinder and each end is not perfectly pancake flat so the contact area varies. Lining up each side so they are sitting in the same direction then spinning the springs in their seats 1/4-1/2 at a time is a quick way to correct minor spring issues such as you're having. The only pain in the butt is lifting then lowering again to check for changes.

Naw... I understood what you were saying. I fiddled around with the Jeep yesterday doing a bunch of Jeep chores and moved the coils around as you suggested. No real change unfortunately, maybe 1/4" on the passenger side increase.

I did get the pinion angle rotated a bit and it helped the most.

Happy Jeeper now.

Tires are next.
