I can't say anything either way about the Duratracs. But, I've got roughly 15,000miles on the STT's and they still look new. Perform great on and off road.

I have the ST/T's. Bit of a mixed bag. Fine off road. Bit on the noisy side for a DD. Also since i have 17x12.5"x33 stearing gets a bit flighty. Having said that that. Next set is gonna be 35".

I was looking at both of these tires too and decided to go with the Duratracs for use out west since there are many reports of the STT tires chunking in rocks. However, for mud the STT is probably the better choice.

I just put on my 35" Duratracs yesterday and so far I'm impressed. Time (and terrain) will tell!

I love my STT's... It's not a DD but when I do take it out the road noise isnt bad and they handle well in the mud and snow IMO.

When I'm buying a mud terrain, though, I'm not concerned with road noise, just looks, function and price. Mine were $317 each mounted

Default 60k on mine.

i have never had a better tire all around. price is really good. I read a review about a guy that has a outback guide gig. these are all he runs. Quote " I have never had a flat" now that is a pretty awesome statement. I have never had a flat either.

Love my STT's, I have about 20k on mine and I should be able to get another 20k out of them. They are great in the mud, pretty good in the snow and they are not loud at all for a M/T. I have no experience with the duratracs, but those are more of a A/T and don't look like they would clean out well at all in the mud with that tread. Go for the STT's!

I have also narrowed it down to either the cooper or duratracks. ran cooper stt's on my dads k5 growing up and had a great experience with them. long tread life and handled well. from what I remember. I have heard of balancing issues with the coopers. and the duratracks seem to feel like a boat in highway turns ( though this was on the heavy diesel and 350 pu's). Duratracks seem to work better on the roads. where the coopers cant be beat in the mud. I am curious about the new Cooper discover MAXX. but I think I will go with coopers either way. 285/75/16's

I ran STs (not STT) and my duratracs blow them away in the snow. As for mud, the duratracs sure love the soupy mud, but I think the STT would be better in clay/sticky mud. The duratracs love to dig though. I would go with the duratracs for a DD rig.

STTs are a great tire though!

I run the Duratracs on 1 of my jeeps and will replace them with the new Cooper MAXX when these wear out. You are running Hankooks now and if they are working well go for the STT Coopers. If they are loud or dont hold the road well go with the Duratracs. The Duratracs work very well in the mud of the Southwest cleanout well and handle the desert terrain we have here.
