I can feel mine up to about 5mph or so, after that not that I notice.

i have 33 x 12.5-17's and they seem to like about 28-29 street pressure.

Your tire pressure seems kind of low for that size tire. I know you did the chalk test, but I think you better try again. I have the STTs, but they are 35" and I run them around 28PSI. I must admit that I haven't done the chalk test, but the recommended tire pressure for a 35" tire is 26-28PSI. As for your size tire it should be around 30-32PSI easy.

If you are running too low your hot air pressure will be too high vs cold air pressure. Remember there should only be a difference of about 10% between hot and cold air pressures. If hot air pressure is beyond that then you are probably under inflated.

If you really want to dail in your tire pressure you can weight your JK front and rear seperately. Your are going to have to divide the weight for each tire so you'll know how much weight each tire is holding. Then take a gander at your tire manufacturer's load vs inflation charts. This is still not an exact science since the weight distribution isn't symetrical. In that case measure the foot print and add air to the low side(bigger foot print) until they are the same.

I will admit that I haven't weighed my JK because I have yet to find a place where I could nearby where I live. So I took the lazy route...26-28PSI for 35" tires. I plan to try the chalk test and heat test soon.

I hope this helps

Good luck

I have 35x12.50x17, I only feel the lugs when I roll a couple mph, after that no roughness.
