Converting the TF 3" lift to a 4"?

Converting the TF 3" lift to a 4"?
I'm waiting on my '13 Rubi to arrive and deciding on lift size. I'm going with 315/70/17 BFG KM2's for sure but can't decide on the size lift. My cousin works for a dealer and is able to get me a great deal on the Teraflex 3" or 4 " (it's a Mopar labeled lift w/ Teraflex components).
I got a certain stance I want in mind and I've scoured the site looking at lifted 4 doors w/ 35's. Some with a 2.5" lift look great w/ 35's then I see some 3" lifts that don't have the clearance I'm looking for. I don't really want to go to a 4" if I don't have to. I was wondering if I go with a 3" then decide it's not enough, could I just switch out 4" springs to get the extra clearance? Or do I need longer shocks as well?
I don't want to do a body lift. I guess I could go flat fenders and pick up the space there but may not want to do that so curious if the springs would do it.
Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving to all. I'll be away fattening up for the rest of the day but looking to forward to any insight.

Thanks guys. "Perfect" is subjective and 3" in this may net more or less that than the other brand lift.
I know a 4" inch lift would be adequate, just trying to avoid that if I can.
Thanks again

Just so you know Teraflex shocks for a 3 or a 4in lift are the same. TF springs usually net more than the advertised lift.

TF makes solid kit...I've run two of their lifts on my jeep and they are awesome, so you're not going to lose out either way you decide to go.
Going with essentially a 35x12.5R17 (315/70R17), I'd recommend the 3" TF. The stance with the TF 3" and 35s is nice, not a huge wheel gap in the well and plenty of clearance. Going up from 3" springs to a 4" spring is just about as cheap as going with bushwacker flat fenders if you want more wheel gap.
I'm currently running BFG KM2 35x12.5R17s, TF 4" Flex Arm kit, and Bushwacker flat fenders. I kind of wish I would have kept the TF 2.5" coils and went 35s and flat fenders. I will be dropping mine back down to 3" TF springs when I get home to close some of the wheel gap (and fit in the garage better). Either way, the 4" doesn't look bad with that setup, but there is a lot more stuff than just a lift to dial the rig back in 4" and above. You'll need to consider looking at adjustible control arms/trackbars and new driveshafts to adjust the pinion angles to avoid vibes/tanking your T-Case or snapping the driveshaft, drag link flips for steering, etc etc...end up spending a lot more than originally planned 4" and up if you want to keep the ride right.

Part of the reason I was looking avoid the 4" if possible was the extras I was in for if going over 3" - driveshaft among other things. So if you guys netted 4" + did you end up still having to go with new driveshafts also?
The kit I'd be getting for about $2,100 includes control arms and track bars and uses the Fox shocks, not TF's. I will be getting 4.5" bs on the wheels I chose based on Travis at Discount Tire mentioning to me that 4.75 or more bs resulted in 35's rubbing at full crank off road.
Thanks for the detailed input and the pics on this guys-it's huge help for me to get the real deal from people running the same setup. Pretty much made up my mind on the 3" now
