Default Control arms

So I have a rough country 2.5 lift. 33inx11.5 tires and I feel the ride is rough but that's no big deal. The issue is the steering. I can't really explain it but I feel i have to really turn and keep both hands on at all times because the littlest bump will take me out.

I have a new stabilizer I have a new drag link and my ball joints are good and my pitman arm is tight. I also got an alignment.

Now. I see people saying lower control arms could fix this issue I have.

Thoughts?

how many miles have you had the lift? After installing a lift its a good idea to retorque your control arm and trackbar bolts (at least do the front). have you done that? Also upgrading to the 9/16 bolt kit from northridge is another good thing to do to prevent future death wobble and IMO it makes the entire front end feel tighter. Lastly yes adding front lower adjustable control arms to increase your caster will definatley help your handling. Do these things and your handling will improve. I drive my jeep with one finger sometimes. I used to run your lift and yes it is a little rough but just retorqing my front control arms and trackbar after 1000 miles showed some immediate improvement. good luck

There is a good chance that your steering is flighty due to castor angle. The lower control arms will let you dial in your angle and the steering will improve.

Do you take your rig off road? If so then you will want to go with the front lower control arms. If you just want to improve your on road handling then you might want to consider the AEV drop brackets.

PM Us for a quote on either.

This ^^^^^. If your off-road is forest service roads and such, the AEV brackets are fine. If you hit the rocks, adjustable control arms will give a bit more articulation and won't be as exposed to possible damage. Whatever you do, don't let a CAR mechanic talk you into camber bolts.

Post the before/after specs from your alignment.

because the littlest bump will take me out.
That sounds more like bumpsteer than low caster, but post the numbers.

You said you have a new draglink, is it flipped or in the factory position?

If flipped did you add a raised trackbar bracket.

Was it like that to start or is the flighty steering a new symptom ? A bent tie rod can throw off toe and cause issues.
Do you know your specs ?

I have a set of AEv Drop brackets with 9/16 shouldered bolts for sale if interested.
