Confused
He Guys
I'm a 1st timer so please go easy!
I want to add a small suspension lift to my 07 2door X and run 33" tires. My X is also my DD so I want to maintain good on-road handeling. I'm not into extreem wheeling but I want to be able to keep up on moderate trails. And I want to make this project as bulet proff as possible without just throwing money at it. All that being said, I'm considering the 2" ome lift. Since this lift only comes with springs and shocks, I'm pretty sure that I will need to address other issues such as recentering the axels, relocating or lengthing brake lines, and something about swaybar links. I have read that CA's are not nesassary with such a moderate setup. This is where the confusion starts.
I'm preety sure that I can bolt on all this stuff. But I am confused about adjusting everything out after instalation. As I said, I'm trying to make this project as bullet proof as posible. So I want to make sure that the suspension and power train geometry can be realinged to compensate for even such a modest lift. I plan on taking this rig to an alingement shop after I have installed the new gear so that everything can de dialed in.
Can anybody see any issues with this that I have not discovered yet? What about the pinion angle? I have read that the pinion angle should be between 4 and 6 degres. Will I need to adjust it? Any information would be great.
Thanks in advance for any response.

I would take a look at the Teraflex 2.5" BB. It's simple, solid, and cheap. Search for threads on here about it... there are quite a few regarding BB (budget boosts) and you'll find most of your questions answered.

With a Budget Boost (BB) you will not need to adjust anything you that you mentioned....You may not even need the alignment as it is addressed in the install.
My JK is also my daily driver, I went with the Teraflex 2.5" BB with 33"s. It is cost friendly, easy to install and as you can already see they offer great customer support.

I have a 2 dr with a rough country budget boost and stock 32's can fit 33's easily. I use this as my DD no problems with anything no alignment needed you can do a search on this there is no adjustibility as far as i have read. I bought the teraflex rear track bar relocation bracket because i felt more comfortable with it but according to multiple sources here and local 4x4 shops it is not needed below 3" of lift. No problems with the drive shafts after 3,000 miles here i used the stock shocks with the add-on brackets but you can get aftermarket shocks for the lifts. I also ordered the rough country brake line lowering brackets they say there not needed but at full droop just on the jack my lines were tight so i added them as well no problems after that more then 3" your prob gonna need longer lines. You may have to recenter your steering wheel after the lift which is easy some have some haven't i did not have to.

Teraflex 2.5 BB I installed in my 2007 Jeep 2 Door with no issues. This is my daily driver. I wish that I would have gone a little higher. Read different forums regarding the ease of this kit then your hooked. First time installers may take approximately 6-7 hours in your driveway and that is taking your time and alot of breaks. Be safe and try to have a friend help.

Chris, your ride will look good. My jeep came with the steel wheels and wimpy tires. I talked the steeler into replacing them with the 16" painted aluminum that they offer as an accessorie. I kinda like them. Plan on using them with my 33's
