Companies Pushing Dual Rate Coils

What is your actual (measured) lift? If you're headed toward 37s, are you thinking about going with 3.5" instead? I just switched from 2.5" RK (progressive front / linear rear) to RK 3.5" triple rate, all else remained the same. There is a significant difference in the unsprung height between the two (around 6 inches). That said, I got 3 1/8" measured lift. (my JKU is heavy). I no longer have coils that unseat and the ride feels a bit softer.
My jk is light up top, I'm pretty sure I'll get more than "advertised" with most reputable brands.

I got just over 3 and it held pretty strong for the time I've had them. Was definitely considering a 3.5 coil set as I already have all the necessary parts to lift even higher. And would have no problem clearing a 37. Could fit it right now. I would lose some up travel I'm sure.

If they just look bad, I used VHT Epoxy Paint on mine and that held up great.
If they are unseating, then going to any of the multiple rate springs would be worth considering. Marcus at RiverCityOffroad is who I worked with. He was spot on with his recommendation for me. The coil/shock combination I have now works great.

So really, perhaps your only reason(s) to get new coils is the current ones look bad? Or they unseat on droop. If they just look bad, I used VHT Epoxy Paint on mine and that held up great. Not only do they just look old I am just looking to upgrade for better ride quality and of course flexibility and control in the rocks. My shocks are pretty new but doesn't mean I wouldn't purchase some to compliment a new spring. I'll have to call around and see what my options are.
Thanks for all the help.

That's true, and so frustrating. I really like the AEV 2.5-inch lift, but I hesitate buying a kit from a company that won't sell me the individual components if/when the time comes that I need them. it just makes it that much harder to justify the kit's $1,105 price tag (with C/A brackets). Instead, I'm eyeing the Metalcloak Expedition Sport kit. It's a little more costly, but includes more parts to justify that price, too.
