Cold Air Intake IAT sensor removal
MOPAR installation instructions state to just "remove the IAT sensor" like it just pops off - right! reading the forum's seems like most folks snapped this during removal?
after digging at it for an hour with a screw driver, and shoving the screwdriver tip up my cuticle and bleeding out all over the sensor - decided to see what the local auto store had to battle this.
Clip Removal Pliers (see pic). popped sensor out in 2 seconds. be careful - the pliers work great - my sensor popped out and flew about 20 feet!
When installing sensor - easier to put the grommet on the sensor first, then slowly and carefully work the grommet onto the intake pipe using a small screwdriver, prior to mounting the intake pipe on the jeep.
fyi - if you didn't use this tool:
PART NUMBER 04606487AB SENSOR, Charge Air Temp (aka Air Intake Temp - IAT)
Think this is a generic Dodge/Chrysler part and costs around $28
After installing, I had 3 DTC’s from washing the mud off pre-installation:
P0084 Exhaust Valve Control Solenoid Circuit (Bank 2)
P0013 B Camshaft Position - Actuator Circuit (Bank 1)
P00C1 ?
Fortunately whatever sensors were affected by my cleaning dried out and cleared engine DTC’s after a few hours - no more DTC’s!
good luck

When I did my CAI I wanted to be sure not to damage the sensor and since I wasn't going to reuse the stock rubber intake I used a sharp utility knife and carefully cut the short distance from the end of the rubber pipe to the sensor. If needed again I suppose the cut could be taped over. This method should guarantee no damage!
