Default Cold air intake?

I was wondering how everyone feels about off brand cold air intakes? I am wanting to get alittle more horsepower out of my 2009 sahara unlimited without getting too in deep to purchasing a k&n filter kit since I'm graduating in may and need to save some money. Any thoughts about spectre or the homemade cold air kit option? Thanks.

Truthfully you wont notice much of a difference on these minivan engines with a CAI. You'd probally be better off purchasing a superchip for the extra power.

The spectre will get you more power and better gasmileage when on the high way and have constant cool air coming in. but from stand still, it will be same, if not worse as the stock.
so i would say, either invest in an actual CAI or get a better filter for stock intake.
Or a snorkel

I might just get the k&n CAI then, it would be more beneficial than a hot air intake, thanks for the input.

About the chip, which would you suggest?

Excellent, how has your engine been running since you installed it, and would I need to worry about changing oil more frequently if installing it?

What exhaust pairing should I do? I really want to stay semi quiet but still achieve the same amount of performance.
