What about Volant? They have a CAI that their snorkel will work with.

If you're gonna do an intake go with one of the more enclosed systems ie: volant, afe or my pick a banks. I'm not a big fan of intakes when it comes to our jeeps but a guy was selling a brand new banks ram air locally for about half of what it would cost normally so I said the hell with it and bought it. I havent really been able to test it out yet because im waiting on a true trac (spider/side gears in previous carrier/lsd fell apart) so I cant say much about performance. Personally I think if you're going to add an intake you might want to add a superchips and a catback exhaust setup of some sort first. I have no proof of this but these 3 combined might make a worthwhile improvement, seperately the only one that adds anything performance wise that you can actually feel is a superchips and even that doesnt add a whole lot.

Just remember that they are all pretty much the same except: some have metal tubes and some have plastic. I've had both and can tell you that the metal tube gets so hot that you can hardly touch it. On my JK I put a K&N intake am very happy with the performance but also with the filter cleaning capabilities. I sure a drop-in would be pretty good to for the price, but if your like 99% of us on here then you want it all and some more.

The metal tubed intakes will induce heat into the airflow. They also are louder than the poly based inlet tubes.

But for a lot of us it adds enough......

I have the Airaid and Flashpaq, and yesterday I was pulling a steel utility trailer up and over the mountains quite easily......even in high winds. No problems passing slower traffic either. It's 65 mph through most of it and with OD off I maintained the speed limit easily. Auto, 4:10s, and 33s. I do still want an after market exhaust tho.

I went with the bank. I really like it and noticed minimal difference but who cares, my engine dont sound like a mini van any more!
