Default Coilovers.... Eventually.

My ultimate goal is to have full coilovers, however I dont have that kind of money right now. I have a 2012 JK Sport. I want to setup up the linkage that I am going to use with he coilovers now using regular coils. Would like to go with long arms. Probably a nice 3 link in the front and rear. Who offers a very nice and reliable front and rear 3 link long arm kit?

im going to try and be polite and not flame but i guess you could look into genright or rock krawler. I think rubicon express also has one. There are possibly more. Id recommend you really look into this. Also if i were you id fill in your profile and let everyone know what kind of wheeling your doing and plan on doing. Also what tire size? You leave out a ton of variables. What travel shock do you want to run? Im assuming your also looking for a bolt on coilover kit later? Are you having a shop do this or are you? Coilovers are nice, but i ride with a lot of juggies. Id bet 75% have shock/coils or air shock. The other 25% have coilovers. The coilover ones arent any better at offroading.

If coilovers is not in the budget, I'm going to go out on a limb and say long arms are probably pushing it also. Do you have a budget in mind?

I'm with the 2 above.....

Coil overs won't get you further than me guaranteed. I'd be inclined to do 2 tube bypass with hydraulic bumps limiting straps and coil straps....that and a long arch of a long arm kit and you will be hauling and crawling....

Budget is changing. I could save up for whatever I need. Thing is that I'm going to college and I need a rig that can run highway speeds comfortably. But I also need a rig to drive 3 or more hours on the highway before wheeling because all the good trails are at least that far away. Doing it in my TJ was a PITA. I'm taking the 2012 back in and trading it in on a 3.8L Rubi that I drove. 3 day bring back no questions asked guarantee. I'd rather just have the 44 in the front with swaybar discos and lockers from the factory with a little less powerful engine than a crappy 30 in the front with a more powerful motor. Heck, when I get my 35's on and gear the thing to 5.13, it'll be fine. I'm refraining my previous post here. Coilovers will be worried about way down the road. Kinda was being dumb. And to answer you questions, I will run 35's, i wheel in dry, rocky conditions. I just need the most amount of articulation that I can get. Thinkin of just pulling a frankenlift with MC control arms and trac bars. Bilstien 5100's, 1.5 inch coil spacer in the front to level it, and who makes some good coils that don't sag and offer a good ride on and offroad?

Hi BRUT4CE,

What kind of coilovers are you running? Any issues, like screaking, or failing coilovers sliders, etc.? Also, while having stock arms, do you run them with different sway-links and brake lines?

Thanks for the input.

Wow, that's incredible. What coil/spring/steering setup are you running? Do you have a build forum?

No coil overs.....

Synergy springs, relocated shock mounts, brake lines, longer shocks, and a little messing around d here or there....spring retail ERS even though they stay out just a good safety measure....

The rubber ends on stock arms flex a lot, they are plentiful and can be modified...should your castor be off do zone castor correcting washers or lower fro t arms with upper rear arms (adjustable).

How do u modify your stock arms with rubber ends ? Because I'm about to purchase a lift kit 2.5 rock krawler mid flex it comes with control arms. But then I think are those control arms really necessary. What do u think? What r the advantages of having aftermarket control arms Like rockkrawler or TF ?
