My next big upgrade will probably be the EVO or Rebel front bolt on coilovers. I wish EVO had different spring colors.

Install looks pretty easy.

I've never heard anyone say they regret getting coilovers.

You can paint them or you can buy the shocks without the coils, they come from King, not EVO and pick any 2" coil you want to run with them.

EVO won't do that, I asked. They won't sell the bracket separate. The only thing they said they would do is special order plain coils $$$ and then powder coat them $$$. I'll probably suck it up and stick with Blue for a while.

That's probably 6-8 months away anyway

Don't buy from them then, actually they are a pretty good rip off for what they charge. You are paying over $500 for a couple of brackets

Pretty much, either I pay for a bolt on kit or pay someone to weld brackets on. Either way I'm paying extra for it I guess. At least bolt on I can do myself.

$500 is for the weld on brackets, you are paying more like $750 for the bolt on brackets. You can buy weld on brackets for as low as $65
You can actually do a front coil over with dual rate coils for less then a grand in a weld on set up.

Can't weld :(, got to cut a lot too. Probably wind up paying to cut and weld and get 14" travel instead of 12"

I went with a set of ruff stuff 12" towers that I cut down to be about 9" above the frame. 14" sway-a-way 2.0's. It is just a tad on the tall side. I have about 5" up and 9" down.

So I can do it all for Bout 1500? I don't have alot of experience with installing lifts or any of that. I have mechanical experience. So the question is would I be able to do it on my own with little knowledge. And would I need to get a alignment after doing it?

alignment should not be needed unless you are changing control arms, tie rod, etc.
