So here's a dumb question: If you get a coil over system, what does that come with? Like other lifts going over 3.5" you get control arms, sway bars, etc. or do you even need those things?

It appears as if the EVO lift comes with the mounts, coilovers, and sway bar links.

Again, you're the one who didn't seem impressed with the amount of flex you have. If you really think you have more than 9.5", I would challenge you to prove it. just because you don't like what you're hearing doesn't mean I'm bashing anything - peace

So then take what you want from it or turn the channel. I assume you have a mind of your own - use it

The coil overs are adjustable and can be set for pretty much any ride height you want.

Funny, a member stated that he was essentially unimpressed with the amount of flex he had with his coil overs and said it generally enough that it could be applied to all coil overs and I simply clarified the point. I stated facts as to how much travel he gets vs. what you would get with either one of evo's kits and somehow, that amounts to bashing for you. Well, I guess you are free to believe whatever it is you want to believe as that is clearly what you've been doing here

Depends on what kit you get. The new upcoming EVO bolt on coil over kit comes with the brackets and coil overs and all for what should be about $3500. While you can certainly run it with short arms, I would recommend that you at least get a drag link flip/ track bar relocation system up front, track bar relocation bracket for the rear, longer rear swar bar libks, exented brake lines, adjustable front lower control arms and a new front drive shaft.

WOL is fortunate enough to live/eat/breath JK for a living. More often than not, he really does know what he is talking about but, the answer isn't always 12k+ worth of CO, at least not for all of us.
He gets to play with the best toys out there and he does have sponsors to make happy to afford/get his hands on those bad ass toys. I also doubt he would ever push a shitty product to make a buck.
I do agree he could be a little more receptive of people or address their thoughts in a kinder manner but, like the rest of us, he can say whatever he pleases...freedom of speech is a bitch.
So, let's all go on with trying to drive each other nuts and keep talking Jeep and agreeing to disagree ;-)
The new EVO bolt on coil over system will most likely be available for around $3500. Also, I never said anyone's product was shitty, I simply pointed out what I have seen and that's one kit offers only 9.5" of vertical travel and another offers 14" and still another offers 12". Take from that what you will but those are the facts and they can be proven. Again, just because people dont like what they're hearing doesn't mean I am bashing anything. But, I'm sure people will believe what ever it is they want to believe

Thought you guys were still talking about DTD, I came back to the thread after work and missed a lil of it.
Not saying you said anyones product was shitty, was just sayin.
I hope it is only around $3500.00...now that I can somehow justify in my head to fit in my budget down the line
Either way, keep up the good work

My apologies brother, I was never judging because I only know you from this forum. I only compared the photos provided by you and WOL.

At no point in the thread did anyone bash another companies product. We are all trying to answer the OP's original questions. The photos provided throughout the tread can at least show the comparable articulation between at least two competitors, with three different types of coilover applications. Again, my apologies go to those who think there is bashing going on. Just trying to state the facts.

It's too bad you could not meet the people you are talking about I personally have had WOL, GCM2 and Mel under my rig keeping me on the trail. I buy EVO products belong to Project JK because of their commitment to our community as well as their high quality parts and services. I would refer you to The Vengeance build Project JK, EVO and many other companies are donating their time, money and products to help a fellow jeeper and his family out while asking nothing in return. http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-news/v...he-build-begin

Ok so on any kit ( generally speaking ) the tire is only able togo as high as clearance and bumpstops allow. So is the droop/drop where the coil over is superior compared to spring in the over all flex?
