Did your black diamond springs w/spacers bow like that? I take it they didn't. If the CA's are right like you say, springs shouldn't be bowing like that. Did you take the curries back off?

No the Black Diamonds do not bow like that.

CA lengths are 23 3/4" on lowers and 19 1/2" on uppers. While these are longer than in the Currie install instructions for the kit that has these same springs, I am trying to maintain enough caster to make me confident on road.

What confuses me is the outward bowing. Seems like no matter the CA lengths the outward bowing on both sides should not exist. And we centered the axle, so I don't think that is causing it.

I have an aftermarket bumper and winch now and the Black Diamonds do not bow. Certainly if they do, it is barely noticeable.

Ya the Curries are off now. I am gonna call them tomorrow to see if they can help me out.

Thanks for your responses they are helpful and keep me on my toes.

Those springs are compressed too much. Something is holding them from expanding as they should. Are those stock sway bar links? Looks like it. Are your shocks stock too? I would disconnect the sway bar links and the shocks and see what happens.

He's got the BD kit, their shocks I presume, plenty of travel in those for the front. Sway links shouldn't make any difference unless they were jacked to get them on, ones not connected even. I still call spring FAIL. My superlift were bowing slightly to the outside, and the bow increased over time. I installed Tera springs, no bow whatsoever. They are a helluva lot more stiffer than the Superlift though. IF his control arms are set at what he was running with the BD springs and 1 3/4in spacers, he shouldn't see the bow he's seeing.

Swaybar links were not bolted in yet though the pic shows them sitting next to the swaybar mount. Shocks are TeraFlex 9550's which according to TF were the proper shock for 4-6 of lift. beleive in these pics shocks were not bolted up yet.

Agreed. Hoping Currie can help point me in the right direction. As you point out swaybar links not bolted on and were disco'd at start of install.

If you installed a different set of 3" coils and did not adjust you control arms, thats the issue.

3" black diamond and 3" currie are probley different lengths. Whats your caster set at? If the length are set longer than what Currie says, I would be they are going to tell you to adjust them to what the instructions say.

Why dont you try that and see how the coils sit.

Didnt you say that these currie coils ar 4" coils not 3" than more than likely you will have to adjust your lengths to their specs for them work correctly

Currently I have 3" coil springs with 1 3/4" spacers, so 4 3/4" total lift.

Was replacing with 4" Curries and 3/4" spacers so 4 3/4" total lift. Looking for more flex with springs than spacers.

After speaking with Currie reps tomorrow I will see if they think that re setting CA's will help with outward bow.

Thanks.

if your going by measurements from the lift companies, it may not be actual lift height.

for example, a 4" teraflex lift gives near 6" of lift on a 2 door JK.

a 4" fulltraction lift, gives 4" of lift.

it may work out mathmatically to be the same as you have shown. but the actual height is not the same.., btw, you may need to look into longer bump stops. If your running spacers like that. It can over compress them and cause spring failure.

I would get a refund as well and then check out Off Road Evolution or Rubicon Express. Both are great products I personally have Rubicon Express but had I known of ORE at the time I would have gone with their Double Throw Down Coilover with the King shocks
