Default Coil Spring flex?

I installed the Teraflex 3 inch coil lift, and got it aligned and when i looked at the front i saw that the driver side coil didn't look straight and was bending. I looked at the passenger side and it seems straight. I also put on a adjustable front track bar, and told the shop what i needed and they said everything was in spec after the alignment. Is this because my axle is centered properly?

The first two are of the driver side, and the third is the passenger side

Check the bottom of the coil to see if it is sitting in the bucket correctly. There is a grove that the coil sits in with a stop that the end if the coil rests against. Compare it to the passenger side.

You can measure axle alignment by comparing tires in reference to your fenders.

The drivers side coil does look very close to the bump stop but I think you're going to have to measure.

So I double checked to make sure the springs were in the groove. The driver side is in the groove and the passenger side is maybe a 1/4 inch out. Could be more or less. Would this cause the bend on the driver side?

Probably not, but for me I want to make sure that it is seated properly in the groove just to rule that out of the equation. If your axle is perfectly centered via adjustable track bar (both driver & passenger wheels have the same amount of spacing in relation to the fenders) then no adjustment on that part is needed.

Other things to check for are:

Did your kit come with front lower control arms? With that much lift your caster has to be corrected/adjusted, maybe that could play a role?

Are both your front sway bar links adjusted properly and even with both driver & passenger?

As far as the track bar adjustment goes I'm not 100% sure its adjusted properly I still need to measure it. And no I dont have any control arms yet. The sway bar links are not even connected but they are the teraflex ones that don't have any adjustment. Should I not drive this until I figure it out?

Thanks for the help

I am also noticing that my track bar is different. I've been looking around to see how to adjust to center the axle and it seems that almost all the other track bars I've seen have the adjustable end on the axle mount. I have the pro comp chromoly one and it has the adjustable end on the frame mount. Will this cause any difference in how to center the axle?

No. it will adjust the same. Loosen the bolt and jack up the driver side of the jeep from the lower control arm mount on the frame until the pressure on the bolt is light enough to pull it out. Make your adjustment and either lower or raise the jeep to allow the bolt to go back in. set her down and torque to spec. Done deal.
