Clutch Advice
So i just dropped my manual transmission out of my 2007 sahara due to a failed TOB. Im not completely sure if the clutch and pressure plate should be replaced though it does appear so. I have 35's on with a 4 inch lift and i dont do a terrible amount of off roading although i do plan on hitting up Rausch creek next year sometime. I guess my question is this, since the transmission is down and the clutch appears to be worn down a bit, where and how much should i spend on a new clutch kit? Would a cheap luk clutch kit be enough or should i step up and get something a littme more meaty? Also does this clutch look like a good candidate for my application?

Having replaced a slew of clutches on many different models, always have the flywheel surfaced. (blanchard ground) Being relatively inexpensive, replace the disc and pp while you're in there AND the pilot bearing. I'm personally not a fan of spending the extra $$ on Centerforce for low revving engines but Luk is actually a great clutch and is OEM on many manufacturers.

Can't chime in on which clutch to get cause I haven't looked to hard at them. Will say if your budget is $300 and you can get a new clutch, pp, tob, and pilot bearing plus have your flywheel turned or replaced I would do it all now. The $300 is worth it to me to do it all once. Specially if you had problems/issues dropping tranny this time. Hate to get it all back together and then regret not doing clutch at same time.
