Default Clicking From Underneath

Just when driving and going over little cracks/bumps in the road, I hear a click/clicking noise coming from underneath my JK on the front passenger side...coming from some place between the door and my front bumper. I don't know exactly what it is...I do know it's not my disconnects at all.

Can anyone just give me a hint or list as to what they think the clicking noise might be? If I just have an idea where to look, then maybe I can find and solve the problem.

So please, ideas???

Hard to say but it might be a good idea to check your trackbar mounting bolts, swaybar links and anything else you see for tightness.

did you use shock adapters?? if so, check the nut on the top of the front shocks... make sure its tight...

if no shock adapters, check it anyways b/c thats where my noise came from

what makes you so sure that it's not your discos? clicking of the nature you have described are typically caused by shifting of suspension components. swaybar links are a major culprit as well as loose shocks, track bar, control arms (especially if they are adjustable) and things like that.

It's not my discos because I already checked and tightened them...I didn't even think about my shocks. I'll check that out ASAP when I get off work. My control arms are stock, but I'll check the nuts/bolts on them too.

Thanks!

Keep the ideas and suggestions coming. Just list anything. Right now I need ideas of where/what the problem may be.

Stupid question, but are you sure it's not a stone or a nail (or something) stuck in your tire tread?

Aside from that......who knows.

Everytime someone describe this sound it sounds like you have thrown a clip on the dog ear of your front axles. The cap then comes off the u-joints then rounds out the axle ears. Check to see if youhave this problem.
