Not exactly snowflake but I know how forums go ,the guy with the high post count gets to be the bully,I’ve builty, dude jumped my butt in a build threadi posted just to join up and be apart of the group,I’ve been around longer than either of you ,have so many builds under my belt it’s not even funny .I just wanted to contribute to the group with a question that hasn’t been covered much.I chose the backspacing for a reason and I didn’t ask about spacers,I asked about clearancing .I honestly don’t usually even ask questions because I actually have experience building but figured I’d get involved, big mistake.Dirtman I’m sure your full of knowledge but I asked about clearancing a frame, not wheel spacers as an option, didn’t mean to ruffle features but mine got ruffled first so I of course react

on a guy for posting a build? You know you came across wrong,I’m sure you are a good guy but we got off on the wrong foot .We are both about the same age Tom and I have been going at this along time,I didn’t need the advice but figured I’d be apart of the group and try.If we were on the trail I’m sure it would be a different story.I spend a lot of time under everybody else’s rig and being helpful as you seem to do on here .Y’all stay safe out there and I’m just going to go my way and get back to working on my Jeep.Ill prob post results in case anyone wants to do what I’m doing.i want my rig narrow and low as possible so “I chose “ the wheel combo I have for a reason, of out of ignorance or being a newbie ,which I’m not.Lets start this whole thing over and learn from Each other .ok?

Cool, you threw the fit when I called you on a bullshit statement. With your build knowledge I am surprised you picked the components you did. There are a couple of threads on clearancing the frame but most will use adapters to fix the problem instead of modifying the frame. Simply mark the area of rub and cut it out. There. Sorry I did not give you what you wanted I just gave you a different easier route to go that would not hurt the value of the jeep. Many people would not consider buying a vehicle that had frame modifications. Wheel adapters would do the same thing and would help protect the lock out hubs from rock damage. You came on here with a simple build that was a bolt on deal, just assumed you would rather bolt on then fab, my mistake but I can only gain info from your limited posts. I typically will look thru builds and post of new members before answering questions they have to get a feel for their experience. Too bad you didn't include some of your prior builds in your intro. Lots of the "JK crowd" that just buys stuff to bolt on for the cool factor and get pissed off when people don't tell then how cool they are. If you wish I will stay out of your threads, its nothing to me how you want to be.

It’s all good ,I didn’t claim anything earlier ,just stated what I wNted to do not use spacers. This is my only 6th rig on tons but each was different so I’m just doing what I wanted to do in the first place ,staying narrow, keeping tires in the wheel well at tuck and got my full steering potential .
easiest fix isn’t always the best.I am not one for selling or worrying about resale value,I never put a rig back to stock anyway ,thanks man .Im ok if you are,can we get back o business now that the bulls have bumped chests ?!? Ha ha really I’m glad we got this out and over with

Fair enough, I also mistook you for a bolt-on queen in your first post due to the vague info. I personally see more benefits with going wider, but to each their own.
Post pics when you're done, I'm interested.

It’s all good fellas,I was on the tail end of a 48 hour shift so I just was trying to find some peace by posting the build, didn’t mean for it to go sideways.Im pretty much a face to face guy and not a forum guy or at least I haven’t been for a while, between my shifts I’m usually working( volunteering so I can work on my own stuff) at a local shop so I spend a lot of time working on other people’s jeeps and what not. Not a know it all but compared to most I can hold my own with a wrench and a welder if you know what I mean. This is one of my first bolt on rigs so it’s hard for me not to go to cutting and modding stuff myself .Im gett8ngbtird so I’ll be taking easier routes eventually.Glad to be a part of the group and hope to be an asset like you fellas.
