I replaced this bracket with the Rugged Ridge bracket pictured here and I got to say when I removed the bracket it was nasty under there. There was alot of salt and road dirt and some signs of rust. I cleaned it up and sprayed it down with some clear coat before I put the new bracket on. Any one wanting to take care of their babies might wanna check under there

its a part of my jeep that takes a beating..from branches and what not its also the place that mounts windshield lights and roof racks so figure Id get those to take the beatings and save my originals for a rainy day,,plus mine is steel blue and the black looks good on it.

True story, my 2011 Rubicon last year when I got it, one day I was cleaning it up and noticed something under the drivers seat. That bracket, an extra one, was under the seat. Why, I have no clue.
