Default Clanking When turning

ive searched and still need an answer...so when i turn going slow 10-15mph i here a clanking sound, it sounds like its a steering component shifting during tight turns(U-turns are the worst) someone told me it sounded like the front diff was locked, but i dont see how thats not possible with the compressor/locker switches off right? i dont have the ability to jack up the front axle yet to check but was wondering if anyone else has had the problem or could tell me what it may be, the front pass axle shaft/u-joint was replaced at the dealer a few weeks ago and the problem started shortly after. everythign seems tight so im stumped.
thanks-

I don't know what your problem is but I have been living with it since July, 2007 when I bought the clunky/squeeeking JK.

i had very similiar issue, only turning right though. found it to be my sway bar link was actually bent. so I've removed my sway bar links till I can get some discos. I havnt noticed the clunk as of now, its been about a week.

Not sure if that helps or not, but its a starting point.

i have a clunking noise on turns sometimes as well, but sounds likes its coming from the rear. tightened the rear track bar but i dont think it helped. starting to think it could be the soft top.. need to try it with it down...

no drivability issues on or offroad... just another quirk so far

I had the same clunking on right turns. It turned out to be a loose battery moving around when turning.
