Default Cj7 bumpers to jk bumpers

I have a brand new set of cj bumpers that are not getting used. I want to know if anyone had modified a set of old bumpers to fit a jk. I'm sure it's possible but I was wondering If it's a lot of work or even worth it. I'm gonna try and get out to my hanger this weekend to see how much fabricating would be needed but I wanted to know if anyone has done this.

i really doubt that it's even worth it. the frame rails on a CJ are much closer together and the mounting points sit on top and bottom and the JK are up front. you would have to make some kind of bracket to not only covert the mounting points but also extend them out and at that point, i'm not even sure how strong the whole thing would be.

That's what this forum is all about. I'd take your stock bumper off and tiewrap or make the cj bumper stay up to see if it would even look good on your jk
