Default Chromoly shafts for rear- what brand?

Bought a yukon grizzly locker for my rear d44 and looking to install some chromoly shafts to strengthen the axle before I lock it this upcoming spring. Any suggestions on a chromoly shaft?

Any word on how the yukon chromoly shafts hold up?

I've heard good things about ten factory but that's about it.

Any suggestions before I pull the trigger?

Ten factory has the best warranty and covers the phalange.

I have RCVs both front and rear. Had one glitch with rears and RCV replaced with free shipping. But they're very pricey.

Is TF warranty better than RCV? I thought RCV is better warranty, though as I said way more $$$.

Yukons are shipped at generic lengths, then you cut them to fit your application. Choice of metals, and triple drilled, which could be a big plus. My local gear shop is a yukon preferred vendor, so those were his first suggestion when I was looking. After the work for cutting to length and pressing the bearings, they priced out about $100 higher than TenFactory.

TenFactory - 4140, 10yr warranty that includes bent flanges, dual drilled. Can be found for $310 or so if you look around, but mostly up in the $375+ range. (plus pressing the bearings)

G2 - exact same stats and warranty as TenFactory, they even buy direct from Ten when they run out of their own shafts. You will find these for $295

Nitro - 4130, 5 year warranty. Does NOT include bent flanges, void if bent/twisted/worn, this only covers an actual shaft breakage. Triple drilled. $450, but the plus for them is that they come pre-assembled, so you don't have the extra cost of pressing the bearings on.

Alloy Usa - 4140, dual drilled, 10 year warranty, (but no reply from them on what exactly is covered.) $360ish

Two months ago when I was looking, the G2's were on a nationwide backorder, so I ordered TenFactory. (a warranty is worthless if you can't replace a broken shaft, right?) Haven't followed it long enough to know whether it is a one-time shortage or on-going.

RCV says lifetime warranty on shafts, not sure about flanges.

Although their site quotes $1499 for the rear set, pretty steep. That's more than I paid last year.

We prefer Ten Factory over anything else, as everyone stated Ten Factory has an excellent warranty. PM us if you would like any pricing.
