chopping fenders??

It is really easy. My advice do the back first. The back is easier than the front and it will give to time to get a feel of what is going on. Use tape. Cut slow and go back and clean edges up with razor knife and I used a sanding sponge then put the plastic door edging to give it a clean finished look. Use card board to trace your radius that you make in the fender so you can make both sides even.

X3 (or 4 mabe) on taping off being the hardest part, and even thats easy. Gives you a feel for how you want them. And def. use a dremel. I used sheetmetal shears and a sawsall lol, took a lot of sanding to get them straight, but after all the horror stories of installing the bushwackers, plus the price, I figured why the hell not just trim them.
Sorry for the pic, best I have available right now.

can i just tape my pattern and start cutting? Do you trim through the inner fender and support at the same time? I would try this if i can do it this way but if i have to take them completely off i would probably just keep my stockers and go with the BW.

I cut mine with fenders still on Jeep. Cut the rears and pulled off cut side and inner fender all at once. The front I cut the fender first then went and cut back the support far enough where you could not see it but left enough to support the fender.

I'm considering doing this next spring as part of my lift project but I have one concern:
In most of the fender mods I have seen, DIY and aftermarket, a common element is the removal of the inner liner on the rear.
If I eliminate the inner liner on the rears, would the sheet metal be exposed significantly to mud, rocks, road salt, etc that could accelerate the rusting out of the rear floorpan?
