Default Check out what this clown did...

This goof used the OEM lugs with steel wheelies. Upon further review it is likely that lugs and lug nuts were never completely mated, thereby causing to the lug nuts to ground out the wheel lug holes to take on the shape of the conical lug nuts...likely contributing to really bad DW three times...BTW, I am said CLOWN.

Lesson, don't let lil' details go when it comes to things like, ya know..WHEELS!

Thats odd, I have soft 8's as well and the lug holes came ground to a 60degree conical seating serface, which just so happens to mate perfectly to the 60 degree conical lug nuts (lug centric!!). Are you sure you just havent ground away the powdercoating??

Thanks for the reply.

Been so long since I bought these I can't remember if they came beveled or not. However every time I undo the lugs I get a lot of silver shavings. I would think the powder coating would be finished being stripped away by now as I have had these wheels almost a year...

Hee...Hee... leave it to me to be the outlier. I am always "out of spec" so to speak.

You are a good man for being able to post what you did to help others.

Happy to hear you found and Identified your problems. WOW, costly as those wheel look to be in good shape otherwise.
