Default Cheap High Steer Drag Link Alternative?

Propose using a RHD JK drag link and simply flip to attach to top of knuckle....

On a stock LHD JK, the steering box is on the left frame rail, pitman arm just off that to the drag link which passes over to and then is bolted to the bottom of passenger side (Right) knuckle. This stock LHD drag link can't be flipped to top side of knuckle (more ideal when lifted) because of the slight kink in the end of the drag link which is needed for clearance when steering at full lock.

My AEV high steer kit simply used a drag link of same length but kinked the other way at knuckle end joint, (so when its flipped it doesn’t hit at full steering lock). Well now that I think about it, wouldn’t the RHD JK drag link be kinked the other way as would be needed for a flipped to top drag link knuckle joint as desired in a high steer concept?

The AEV drag link is a mopar part, but with a 7/8 tapered ball joint and required drilling out the smaller hole of the jk knuckle to fit.

I’d think it would be way easier and cheaper to get a RHD JK drag link and completely reversible to stock.

Anyone have access to dealer stock and part numbers to compare the JK LHD drag link to the RHD?

the kits also come with the appropriate track bar bracket to keep your drag link and track bar in proper geometry.

The AEV premium kit only comes with a track bar for the rear. Stock front track bar is retained. The bracket moves it over a tad, but again, most people with a 3" lift front have a front a track bar already yes?

For these folks the idea still holds merit then right?

i guess it would also depend upon the bracket. If you have already use a front trackbar relocation bracket then only buying a RHD drag link would work. The only thing would to be possibly contact the maker of the bracket to make sure it will work with the bracket.

this would not work with a kit that uses a track bar drop bracket on the frame.
