Mine was pretty close too. After I added 35's, the speedo was recalibrated to the max tire size that the dealership could go, 32" tires. It was 4 MPH off at 61 MPH (we would actually be driving 65 MPH).

We're still about the same on the speedometer after new gears and that's what posed the question. I guess I'll need to call the dealer and re-ask the question. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that the mechanic forgot that we had already gotten the speedo recalibrated for the larger tires. Couldn't see giving them another $70 for a computer fix.
