Default Changing Gears

I'm about to make the upgrade to 4.88's. I'm a little green when it comes to understanding all the components and mechanics.

I have an '08 JK...I believe it has a Dana 30 in the front and a Dana 44 in the rear. Could someone assist me in what all I need to order to be able to change the gears.

JK specific gears and overhaul/master install kits. Regular install kits can be used, but you are better off with new bearings. Northridge had a fairly good package deal going on, you might check with them if you are supplying the parts. But be sure to talk to your shop to check their policies before you buy yourself.

Call Dave at Northridge 4x4. He will hook you up with everything you need and can explain the how's and why's if needed.

I got my 4.88s and overhaul kits for my Dana 30 and Dana 44 from him. Install went perfect and so far after about 1500 miles on the new gears, no problems.
