Default castor?????

When increasing castor to let's say five or so will the front axle move forward or backward???

if you're setting your caster with adjustable upper arms, it's position won't change at all, it'll just rotate down. if you're doing it with lower arms, more caster will have the axle shift forward by a bit.

Front lowers are what I'm doing I thought the axle shifting forward was right but wanted to make sure

yup, for more positive caster, having your axle move forward a bit is right.

Keep in mind the more positive caster you gain a less then optimal pinion angle will occur where your front driveshaft enters the transfer case.

Well right now before arms I'm at a 3 with a 4in lift I have been told I need about 5-7 right

anything over 4 I think is acceptable. I think i am currently in the 5ish range.. this is going to change with my new driveshaft. going to do the pinion vs castor dance

if you can get away with it +6° is really nice.

+4.2° is stock and there abouts is the bare minimum i would go with. if you do more, it'll make your jeep handle nicely at highway speeds and, if you're still running stock gears, vibe will most likely not be a problem. you only really start to see vibe issues when running 5.13's or higher.

Thanks my gears should be fine. I ordered new driveshafts from northridge the other day so I'm trying to get everything in order before they come in

Going to do my rear tomorrow just so I don't f up the rear axle should move back correct???
