Most lift manufactures sell suspension components a la carte. FT and Teraflex come to mind.

I second that, Northridge has been fantastic to work with.

Wayoflife,

Can you explain why you suggest upper control arms? Why not lowers? I've been thinking about fixing my caster and couldn't figure out which arms to buy, upper or lower? Is it best to buy both? I have a 2.5" lift on the front of my Rubicon, so I'm wondering if I can get enough adjustment out of either an upper or lower swap?

Does changing just one throw the Geometry off? Is it best to swap both out , then add and subtract the same amount from both the upper and lower, say.250" or what ever it ends up being?

I guess I'm wondering if you can screw the geometry up if you don't do the swap a certain way?

Thanks!

Pardon my ignorance, I'm new to this whole Jeep thing. I come from a background of many Mustangs. Why worry about caster? In my Mustang I've maxed out the caster setting to improve high speed stability. Is it different in a Jeep? Caster will not affect tire wear.

I think either one will help you out. I did the uppers but I don't think there is enough adjustment to get you where you need to be. I am doing the lowers also.

Sorry, but I am not going to take off the uppers to see if lowers only work.LOL

I believe the premium kit comes with only new lowers. That may be an indication of some sort.

You need stability when driving a Jeep also. With too little caster, which happens after you lift it, you tend to have a wandering feel going down the freeway.

I must be the luckiest guy on the forums....I didn't install the cam bolts, didn't buy adj. arms, and don't have any wandering. Hands off, it drives straight as an arrow and the only difference from stock is a smidgen of extra bumpiness. Yeaaa me! LOL

Now watch, tomorrow my rear track bar bracket will break.....

I'm running a FT 2" budget boost with 33" tires. I had the wondering in mine until I dropped the air pressure in the tires to 31front/29 back. I have the LoD front and rear bumper and a winch. This adds roughly 220lbs to the vehicle. Now it rides and drives as good as new. It's amazing how much 4lbs less air affects the driving charateristics.
